In 1995 three great friends Doug, Bill and Joel had a Dream to share the joy of boating with other active families and to provide them with the very best products available at reasonable prices. Realizing that some of their best memories were summers boating with friends and family, State–A-Mind was born, and the dream of sharing the boating "Lifestyle" had begun.

The name Stateamind was chosen and was befitting because on the water it is very easy to be in the right State–A-Mind.
